An unfamiliar starting of 25 members life.Incredible feelings.. May be irescible,tranquility,buoyant or morose. They are memorable.They are valuable.They are SAE BAJA 2012 working days...
All 25 members.. some known,some unknown,for some rest of them are strangers,few are good friends.As time passing.. work of BAJA lumbering but relations among us became indelible.Iam really obsequious in telling this because the team is a congloremation of 25 members.
The day1, I remember only few known to me and remaining are my assiduous strangers working for BAJA. After my selection in baja ,first meeting of one of my colleagues is on facebook,obviously itz a book to know unknown friends.I always impromptu to add starngers to my friend's list but.. his name mitigated me to add him so and secondly he is of my college.. soo y to wait?? clicked confirm :). from then started FB'S traditionalism of adding friends and few days later my profile filled with working at TEAM TERRANAUT!!!
TERRANAUT,our car name which is about to become real in few months as just of our dreams.. Now itz time of division of work and as majority of the team was with mechanical students everyone had divided their streams of work into and me too with engine.. so, i started thinking how and from where to learn.. obviously my thought goes to wikipedia yar.. then common.. travelled through wikipedia for learning about engine.. then google search, watching videos.. any how started knowing about it. while watching video of engine working.. a pop sound from FB.. its of one of my college team but surely don't know whether he is of my team or not, texted me a question of my working stream.my answer was "engine". he said" I already submitted scripts of that and we dont have you in my team". I was shocked but itz ok let me ask captain. he said no problem of me working on engine. Then i found a mechanic who has a great a knowledge on engines and itz working.went to him for 15-20 days for practical knowledge on engine and how to make engine efficiency and it was really satisfied in gaining knowledge on engine. we all are done with the scripts and presentations of their respective branches with which they are working on. but till then i dont know all my teammates and i just talked with them only on facebook neither i saw them nor talked with them directly.. my team mates went for virtual baja and all waiting for results. after few days... itz a result time and WE are IN to final baja :) all credit goes to our virtual baja team:).
The day has come to start practical work in autonagar,warangal. I went their as a stranger to see all my mates.. smiles are going around for the wish.. then a mate of mine came who is serious minded,only work oriented thoughts and all that is.. he is working with my favourite design part. Though I wante dto go near him and ask about the design and his work iam scared of him seeing his serious face.. trying to go.. tried once,twice,thrice.. hamma idon't have a way now..mmm.. discussions going on around.. and ofcourse me too with my seniors,recently placed in tcs. worked with the calculations of materials with my seniors and the day has passed but without talking to that serious person.. few days passed nearer to the first semister xams of the 3rd year and it was all of sudden stopping the work though we all had a meeting to xontinue the work eventhough we have xams.. far from work of BAJA for many days almost 1month and ofcourse a delay of 1 month because of no information about the start of work.
After a huge gap and all after my xams, tour to north india ...A new life had begun in working.. when i first went their all are so busy in explaining to the welder about the roll cage desgin and there started my first interaction with the some of my team matesand their continued beautiful days all along left till now in my life learning more about life than BAJA :p daily routine has started coming to the workshop early in th morning..talking,working and a huge part left with smiling. Atlast started talking with anudeep(so called serious person) .. silly jokes with guru.. comments on mahesh babu for manish babu..vishal soo called stuntz..avinash ,goutham .. discussions on marketing with sandeep, fighting with sumanth and all the beautiful days are with me till now. team of 25 members had made 7 gud friends for the life time..
Working has always a new meaning with these friends and njoyed working with them,knowing the unknowns had made me happy just because of their patience in explaining to me..my car has got a shape with all these things..struggling at the night for the work to compkete.. njoying the day with the funny ideas to complete the work.misunderstandings..overcoming them..understanding others.. great exchange of ideas and that too with lots of fun really made terranaut,a dream to action..
As the time of testing for final baja is UP..every one was tensed for making our terranaut TESTED OK. The days has come up everyone tensed up when entered into workshop that day every one was like playing with the kits soo seriously.. huge buildups..confusions..struggle with lappys nad cd's.. njoying the way sashank drive and lock the four tyres and a ride on our college ground atlast made our TERRANAUT TESTED OK..
Now the time of final baja mixed with our daily schedule of classes and labs all of them are busy only on their labs bunking our classes and njoying working for TERRANAUT. That day as there is lab no one had come to workshop in the evening and the artist to colour our car has come and some has to ride the car and itz me who is about to drive but without keying it..accelerating it.. it was susheen and sandeep who made me to keep my hands on steering.. haha it was nice experience and they had really struggled hard for making me drive for 5 long minutes to the destiny of the painter. it was time for painting the car and i always my job was a kind of watchman there..mm. but no problem that day ended with huge food festival. As the car is having itz colours i had it to my stomach with huge lunch with my favourite dishes in my hme.. coming to workshop and having two glasses of sugarcane juice with my junior.. pavbhaji and a huge glass of mosambi juice with my dearest friends harry,guru and manish.. thats really a nice end for a BAJA work.. hoping for the better way for FINAL BAJA and the endless friendship of ours....:)
